Ross has competed in six Island Games as a swimmer, starting in 2001 in the Isle of Man. His final competitive games were at home in Guernsey in 2023, which he says was an unforgettable experience. At Orkney 2025 he retuned as Team Manager for Swimming.
Having been involved from both a competitive and sporting perspective Ross says he truly understand the amount of work that goes into a Games - both from the athletes themselves and the management team behind the scenes.
Ross is incredibly grateful to have been elected to the GIGA Board and proud to have the opportunity to give something back. He hopes that through his contribution he can help other enjoy and hopefully find success in future Island Games.
